Privacy Policy

• Information you give me. Your email address and any details you include when you email or message me.
• Purchase information. Ebooks are sold and delivered through Gumroad. When you buy, I receive order details such as your name, email address, the title purchased, and the amount paid. I do not receive or store your full card or payment details.
• Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site I may collect device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, pages you view, the link that referred you, and similar usage data — collected through cookies and similar technologies.
• Information from Meta. If you interact with my Facebook or Instagram ads, pages, or posts, I may receive aggregated insights and event data (for example, that a purchase or visit occurred), which may include limited identifiers where permitted.

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep it working, understand how it is used, and measure and improve my advertising. In particular, I use the Meta Pixel (and may use the Meta Conversions API). When you visit the Site, the Meta Pixel may set cookies and send event data to Meta — such as page views and, where applicable, purchases — so that Meta can measure the results of my ads and show relevant ads to people who have visited the Site.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and delete existing cookies at any time. Blocking cookies may affect how the Site works. You can also limit how Meta uses your data for ads using the choices in Section 7.

• Respond to your messages and provide the content you ask for.
• Process and deliver ebook orders, with Gumroad handling checkout and payment.
• Measure, analyse, and improve the Site and my content.
• Run, measure, and improve advertising on Meta platforms, including showing my ads to relevant audiences.
• Meet legal, tax, accounting, and security obligations.

I advertise my ebooks and content on Facebook and Instagram. To do this I may use the Meta Pixel, the Meta Conversions API, and Meta Custom Audiences. This means Meta may match information collected from the Site (such as a hashed email address or a visit) against its users to build audiences, including retargeting people who visited the Site and creating similar (“lookalike”) audiences.

Meta Platforms, Inc. and its affiliates process this information as an independent data controller, under their own terms. See Meta’s Privacy Policy and Business Tools Terms to learn how Meta uses this data.

I do not sell your personal information. I share it only with service providers who help me run the Site and my business, and only as needed:

• Meta Platforms — advertising, measurement, and audience tools (privacy policy).
• Gumroad — ebook checkout, payment, and delivery (privacy policy).
• Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery for the Site (privacy policy).

I may also share information if required by law or to protect my rights, safety, and property, or in connection with a business transfer.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, I rely on the following legal bases: your consent for advertising and non-essential cookies (which you can withdraw at any time); the performance of a contract to provide ebooks you buy; my legitimate interests in running and improving the Site and my business; and legal obligation for records I must keep. Where consent is required, I ask for it before setting advertising cookies.

You can opt out of seeing personalised ads from Meta through Meta Ad Settings, and manage other interest-based advertising using the Digital Advertising Alliance, the Network Advertising Initiative, or (in Europe) Your Online Choices. Opting out of personalised ads does not mean you will stop seeing ads — you may still see non-personalised ones.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Because purchases are handled by Gumroad, some requests (for example about payment details) should be directed to Gumroad. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

I keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Order and tax records are kept for the period required by law. Advertising and analytics data is retained according to the settings of Meta and the other providers.

The providers I use (such as Meta, Gumroad, and Cloudflare) may process your information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

I take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site and my ebooks are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided me with personal information, please contact me and I will delete it.

I may update this Policy from time to time. When I do, I will change the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are significant, I will make that clear on the Site.
